When motorists said they wanted more cargo room in the 2018 Lexus LX 570, the automaker introduced a two-row version of the traditionally three-row crossover which will be available later this year. When drivers expressed an interest in a 2018 Lexus RX that has more seating, the Lexus brand went to work again.
The car manufacturer will reveal the fruits of its labor later this year when the three-row 2018 Lexus RX L models arrive at Lexus dealerships throughout the nation. The Lexus RX 350L and the Lexus RX 450hL closely resemble their two-row counterparts, but they have comfortable seating for six or seven adult passengers.
To add an extra row in the Lexus RX L models, the Lexus brand extended the crossover’s length by 4.3 inches in the rear. The automaker also used a tailgate window that’s steeper than the one used in two-row iterations of the vehicle. These changes provide ample headroom and legroom for passengers riding in the crossover’s third row.
These models have a tri-zone automatic climate control system, which means passengers in the third row have their own heating and air conditioning vents. The Lexus RX L crossovers also have a power-folding third row and a power tailgate for added convenience. The Lexus RX L vehicles have the same safety, luxury, and performance features and enhancements that the the two-row versions of the crossover have.
